Ann Curry
Ann Curry has worked as a journalist for nearly 45 years. She focuses her reporting on natural disasters and conflict zones. Curry reported on conflicts that raged in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo, and Central African Republic. Ann Curry is a journalist anchorperson on television and reporter that was born on the 26th of June 1956. Following her graduation from the University of Oregon, Curry received a bachelor degree in journalism degree in 1978. Curry could not be a student at a particular school in the cities of San Diego, Alameda Oregon, or Virginia for two years, due to her family moved often. Ashland is where she finished the high school. In Medford the following year, she began her career in broadcasting at KTVL Channel 10 as an intern. When she was 22 she was the first reporter to be female at KTVL. After that, she moved into the role of anchor and reporter at KGW KGW, which was the NBC affiliate station located in Portland. Four years later she moved into Los Angeles and became a journalist at KCBS TV. There were two Emmy Awards were won during her six year association with the KCBS-TV.
